Electronics
One of my objectives is to help to reduce the amount of electronic equipment ending up in landfill sites.
When it comes to electronic consumer equipment the same old phrase is used, "It is not worth repairing, cheaper to buy another one." This is before getting someone to look at the electronic equipment.
Here you can get an estimate. The way to do this is to ring, email or fill in the contact form and give details of your electronic/electrical equipment, i.e. type of electronic equipment (camera, computer, TV, media player, etc), make, model followed by a few lines of what the item does not do or in some cases what the item does that it is not suppose to.If you use the contact form then use the 'comment' area. Leave an email address as I may need more information to see if it is worthwhile repairing. If the item is worth repairing then you will receive estimate. If you decide not to repair your electronic equipment or it has been deemed unrepairable, then we maybe able to take it away for you or help you to freecycle the item. What is freecycle? Well I am glad you asked as Freecycle is a local group of people in or around your town which offers items they no longer wanted thus preventing or at least trying to prevent the items from going to landfill. Also people ask for certain items. freecycle is free to use and all the items asked for or offered are free. It saves a trip to the local dump. Join your local group, then offer items which could be anything, then wait for the emails to come in and finally someone comes and takes it away. Nice and easy.
Some of the items recently repaired have ranged from camcorders, PCs, game consoles, hoovers, DVD players, televisions, electric wheelchairs, etc. In quite a few cases it has been something which has been affordable and parts were easy to get hold off.
As well as repairs we can also service your electronic/electrical equipment.
There is also a ELectronics design service to help with any ideas you may have or find someone to manufacture a prototype.
Electronic engineering tuition is also available for HNC/ONC/HND/OND, City & Guilds and GCSE electronics.
